Iron toxicity in plants: A Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Iron (Fe) is an essential micronutrient for plant growth and development, but excessive iron uptake can cause toxicity, leading to damage cell membranes, reduced growth, yield, overall health. This review paper discusses the issue of toxicity in plants, a common problem that affects crops such as rice, soybean, wheat, vegetables Southeast Asia, Brazil, Africa, Australia, United States. more likely occur soils with high pH, organic matter, or elevated levels available iron. It various mechanisms competition other elements, oxidative stress, changes gene expression phytohormones. The excess ions root cells plasma membrane, stress increased production reactive oxygen species (ROS). ROS cellular components, lipids, proteins, DNA, death cells. Plants have specific take up iron, including transport proteins are responsible moving Fe2+ across membrane Furthermore, it impact on stunted decreased water nutrient uptake, photosynthetic activity. Highlights importance proper management prevent promote healthy growth.

NH4 toxicity in higher plants: a critical review
Ammonium (NH4) toxicity is an issue of global ecological and economic importance. In this review, we discuss the major themes of NH4 toxicity, including the occurrence of NH4 in the biosphere, response differences to NH4 nutrition among wild and domesticated species, symptoms and proposed mechanisms underlying toxicity, and means by which it can be alleviated. Where possible, nitrate (NO3) nutr...
متن کاملMolecular Basis of Aluminium Toxicity in Plants: A Review
Aluminium toxicity in acid soils having pH below 5.5, affects the production of staple food crops, vegetables and cash crops worldwide. About 50% of the world’s potentially arable lands are acidic. It is trivalent cationic form i.e. Al that limits the plant’s growth. Absorbed Aluminium inhibits root elongation and adversely affects plant growth. Recently researches have been conducted to unders...
متن کاملToxicity of pesticides to plants and non-target organism: A comprehensive review
Abstract Pesticides are agrochemical used to increase agronomic production and higher economic profit. However, these chemical pesticides could be persistent in soil and water, collective in silt or bio-aggregates in biota relying upon their dissolvability, prompting various kinds of natural contamination. These pesticides have also shown detrimental effects such as phytotoxicity, genotox...
